About pages are usually very formal, but do you really learn about the person? As someone looking for a coach, you want to know more about them so that you know you can make a connection with the potential coach. It’s a relationship that, in order for it to work, requires a level of trust and a willingness to be vulnerable. So I want you to know about me - here’s my story.
I have over 30 years of work experience in a variety of professional and leadership positions.
I reached a point where I was ready to make a major change in my life and do what I wanted to do. It was just piecing together the pieces.
When I reflected back over my personal and work life, I frequently acted as a coach for people working through life and major career transitions. It seemed to be a natural fit for me combining my innate abilities and professional experience.
The other piece of the puzzle was that I wanted to explore and grow was my work as a photographer. I’ve always enjoyed taking photographs and trying to capture…. I wasn’t sure what story I was trying to tell with my photography, but I could tell it was just out of reach and mine if I took that step.
I realized the photography and coaching go hand in hand. They are both about making connections with people and helping them to tell their stories. So I put together a two year plan with the end goal to live somewhere out west near the mountains and to be working as a certified coach and a professional photographer.
I trained at the Co-Active Training Institute, the industry leader in coaching excellence and leadership development. Through their extensive training and certification process, I became a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach.
I dove into my photography, pushing myself in areas that were new to me resulting a new found love of life inspired photography.
Along the way, I put together this collage of my photographs to represent and help guide me on my journey. Some of it is reminders to myself to get out of my head, just breathe and have fun. The other photos talk to the reality of my life transition. You’ve got to have people who support you and have your back. Keep one foot in reality but expect the best that your dreams are within reach. At the center of it all is the mountains which to me represent strength, support and warmth. And the puppy at the bottom…. he’s there just because.
I left my life in the corporate world to pursue my dream. Let me help you realize yours.
